Can't Wait For Saturday And the winner is ... Geneva's Rob Barnes

Hats off to Rob Barnes, who I believe just joined the five-timer's club of contest winners. Unless my memory is failing me — possible — nobody has won more contests than the Genevan.
Visit milkshakeslot.lat for more information.
Rob (does anyone call you Bob?) counted on a high-scoring game with a prediction of Illinois 34, Michigan State 31. That was just 10 points off the 38-37 final.
Many of the pickers had Illinois in the 30s, but few gave the Michigan State offense much credit.
My guess of 17-7 would have been perfect had the game ended in the first half.
Rob gets extra credit for his comment "Thanks for doing this Bob!" My pleasure Rob.
He wanted to make sure I added "I was fortunate to be on the field with the Marching Illini Alumni" for the homecoming game against Purdue, "Ton of fun."
That was an awesome event. Great to meet Gary Smith in person. The longtime director was honored for the 50-year anniversary of his hiring.
Rob is a 1985 business graduate and very happy to have been part of the Marching Illini back in the day.
One of these days, he is going to guess the perfect score and win a $50 gift card to Papa Del's. Maybe this week.
Obviously, there is no Illinois game Saturday, but there is still a contest. Next up for Illinois is the Oct. 24 game against Oregon, so I will have you predict Saturday's Oregon-Nebraska game. The game is scheduled for the late hours in Eugene, Ore.
Email me at . Include the scores for both teams, your name and where you live. If you are an Illinois alum, please include that too. And if you an Oregon or Nebraska alum that's great too.
The Oregon game kicks off at 10 p.m. Saturday (Champaign-Urbana time).
My pick for the game will run later in the week in this space.
The Papa Del's gift card is in play this week as usual for anyone with a perfect pick.
It is a huge help if you include your score prediction on the subject line. You have been great about it and I really appreciate the effort.
Have a great open week. I'm planning 14 hours of football watching with a couple of breaks to walk Murphy. I look forward to it all year.
Good luck on your picks.
