Minnesota sprung a six-run second inning on Jacob deGrom and cruised to a 10-2 victory on the final Friday home game of the year in downtown Minneapolis. Leading the way were a few players who will be key building blocks of a 2027 Twins team that has the potential to be very interesting, as long as baseball can figure out a labor agreement.

In their big second inning, Walker Jenkins loaded the bases with a single and then Royce Lewis blooped one to center to tie the game at 2-2. A third run scored on a Ryan Kreidler bunt where no Rangers player covered first base. Then Keaschall broke it open with a two-run triple down the right field line on a 98 MPH fastball from deGrom. He went on to score the sixth run of the frame on a wild pitch.
