Sibley, a left-handed pitcher formerly of Jax State, shared on Instagram that he will head to Auburn after spending three seasons with the Gamecocks.

Sibley appeared in 53 games over three seasons at Jax State, with 17 of them coming this most recent season. He boasted several career-bests, which included a 4.05 ERA and 22 strikeouts over 13 1/3 innings. He started one game this season and did not record a win.

He saw action in one of Jax State's games against Auburn this season. He tossed one inning of shutout baseball, allowing one hit and striking out two batters in the Gamecocks 15-4 win over Auburn on April 7 at Plainsman Park. He also appeared in games against Alabama and Virginia during the 2026 season.

Sibley is the fifth pitcher to commit to Auburn via the transfer portal, and the fourth left-handed pitcher to join the Tigers' roster ahead of the 2027 season. The Tigers lost four pitchers to the transfer portal and could lose more to the MLB draft, so Auburn being cautious could benefit them well next season.
