New Mount Healthy head basketball coach has 12 years as an assistant

Mount Healthy High School has named Kam Chancellor as its new head boys basketball coach. It is his first head coaching job.
Chancellor brings 12 years of coaching experience, including time with AAU programs Club Ohio, Cincy Fire and Mid-Ohio Pumas, along with six years at the varsity level at Clark Montessori, Summit Country Day and most recently St. Xavier High School under head coach Ryan Fleming.

Chancellor and his wife, Louisa, have two sons, Krue and Josiah.
In a press release, Chancellor said: "I'm excited to be a part of this community, getting the Mt. Healthy community excited about basketball again, and looking forward to helping these young men on and off the court."
He replaces Sean Cook II as head coach. The Fighting Owls were 8-13 last season. They played an independent schedule after the dissolution of the Southwest Ohio Conference but they will play in the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference beginning with the 2027-28 season.
