Yaxel Lendeborg has surprised many fans with the way he has started his rookie season, but his NBA 2K27 rating isn’t quite to his liking.

Lendeborg is much older than most NBA rookies, having played college basketball for six seasons before making his way to the league.

But that experience has allowed him to adapt to life in the NBA very well, with him currently standing out among the current crop of rookies.

Yaxel Lendeborg believes his NBA 2K27 ratings are too low

Speaking during his own stream, Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg reacted to his ratings on NBA 2K27.

While he didn’t complain about his 83 overall rating, Lendeborg objected to his ratings being so low on many different facets, such as his three-point shooting, ball handling, perimeter defence, and rebounding.

Lendeborg said: “Let’s go look at the stats. The dunk is crazy… Three-ball? 78? My three has got to be like 87! Pass accuracy? Come on… Guys, look! I can’t be in the gym 24 hours of the f****** day. I do have turnovers, though. Chill. My perimeter defence at 71 is false! That on-ball D? Come on. I need like 80 or 78. My defensive rebound is 60? Come on.

While rookies rarely get high ratings from the NBA 2K developers, Lendeborg may have a case for higher ratings given the way he has started this season.

Across his first 10 NBA games, Lendeborg has averaged 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game, while shooting 50.4% from the field, 40.4% from beyond the arc, and 75.8% from the free-throw line.

He is the second-leading scorer among rookies this season, with only Darius Acuff Jr. of the Sacramento Kings averaging more points per game than him.

Many believe Lendeborg is in the conversation to win Rookie of the Year, especially given how well the Warriors have started the season.

His scoring output has been a big reason behind their 7-3 start this season, and it has taken a huge load off of Stephen Curry’s shoulders on the offensive end.
