One of the best players in the state of Oklahoma in the 2028 recruiting class is closing in on a decision date for his commitment. Kamieon Compton-Nero will announce his decision on November 13. The Owasso star will decide between the Oklahoma Sooners, Ole Miss Rebels, Alabama Crimson Tide, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the SMU Mustangs.

Compton-Nero ranks as the No. 1 player in the state and is the No. 2 athlete in the cycle, according to 247Sports. He's a four-star and top 100 prospect across the board. ESPN ranks him the highest at No. 36 nationally.

A dynamic two-way player for Owasso, Compton-Nero is projected to play defensive back for the Oklahoma Sooners. He displays great speed and athleticism and looks the part of a big-time playmaker at the collegiate level. He could start on either side of the ball for a number of Power Four teams.

A little over a week out from decision day, Compton-Nero has 23 Power Four offers from each of the major conferences, including 11 SEC offers. Oklahoma is in a good spot in his recruitment, with several predictions favoring the Sooners in Compton-Nero's recruitment. But with the teams pursuing the elite Oklahoma talent, this decision could go any direction.
