Things went horribly wrong for the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8, as Lamar Jackson got hurt on the first play of the game, and then backup quarterback Tyler Huntley also had to leave the game due to an injury.

Joe Fagnano came in as the emergency third QB, and even he got injured in the game. Coming out of the game, there was a little bit of concern that Baltimore would have to add a new QB to the roster to start in Week 9.
Fortunately, Ravens head coach Jesse Minter told ESPN's Jamison Hensley and other reporters on Tuesday that Fagnano is going to be the starter against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football in Week 9.
Ravens announce Joe Fagnano as starting QB for Week 9 vs. Jaguars
"Ravens coach Jesse Minter makes it official: Joe Fagnano will start Thursday night's game against the Jaguars," Hensley reports. "Fagnano becomes the second undrafted rookie QB to start for the Ravens in their 32-year history."
Baltimore had some real uncertainty about their QB room coming out of the Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills. There are still plenty of question marks for this Ravens' QB room, as Jackson is headed to IR and Huntley might join him.
But at least for Week 9, the Ravens know who their quarterback will be. Fagnano, the 25-year-old undrafted rookie free agent quarterback, will get the start against a tough Jaguars' defense that just held the Indianapolis Colts to seven points.

In Fagnano's first NFL opportunity, he went 10 of 21 for 91 yards and no touchdowns, with one interception. He also ran for three yards on three attempts and lost a fumble.
It was a rough NFL debut for Fagnano, but considering the circumstances, it's hard to blame him for struggling, coming into the game with no reps with the starting offense.
The Ravens will roll with Fagnano as their starter for Week 9 against the Jaguars on a short week, and they'll have Kedon Slovis and Austin Reed as depth options as the Ravens try to figure things out in the wake of Jackson and Huntley's injuries.
