Titans Fire Three Business Execs Amid Another Ugly Start
· Yahoo Sports
The Titans are making more front office changes amid the team’s 0–4 start to the season, continuing a trend of recent instability within the NFL franchise.
Three business executives have been fired: senior VP and chief revenue officer Adam Nuse, senior VP of brand marketing Erin Swartz, and VP of creative Charles Jensen. “As the Titans prepare for the opening of our new stadium and the future of Titans football, we are making changes to how we lead the business side of the organization,” the team said in a statement.

“We will hire an executive vice president and chief business officer to lead our revenue, marketing, and communications teams. As part of these changes, Adam Nuse, Erin Swartz, and Charles Jensen are leaving the organization. We are grateful for everything they have contributed to the Titans and wish them the best in future endeavors.”
Swartz helped lead the Titans’ logo and uniform rebrand this past offseason. Titans president and CEO Burke Nihill told employees that he will be hiring a new EVP and chief business officer, according to an internal memo obtained by Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky.
Those moves are just the latest high-level exits and shifts at the Titans in recent years.
In April, former president of football operations Chad Brinker stepped down just two days after the NFL Draft. The departure came after Brinker in January had lost final say on the team’s 53-man roster to GM Mike Borgonzi, as Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk yet again shifted the team’s ever-changing front office structure.
The Titans hired Robert Saleh as their head coach in January, after firing Brian Callahan last October following just 23 games and a 4–19 record. Quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is in his second season under center.
The Titans are 6–32 since firing Mike Vrabel following the 2023 season, and there have been major organizational leadership changes every season since:
- Assistant GM Chad Brinker promoted to president of football operations (January 2024)
- GM Ran Carthon promoted to EVP/GM (January 2024)
- Brian Callahan hired as head coach (January 2024)
- Carthon fired (January 2025)
- Mike Borgonzi hired as GM (January 2025)
- Callahan fired (October 2025)
- Robert Saleh hired as head coach (January 2026)
- Brinker steps down (April 2026)
- Business executives Adam Nuse, Erin Swartz, and Charles Jensen fired (October 2026)
Tennessee is set to open the new $2.2 billion Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville next year. In 2030, the venue will host Super Bowl LXIV.
