It was a Minnetonka-Andover clash for the ages Monday night as two former Minnesota high school hockey stars dropped their gloves and fought during a preseason game between the Wild and Chicago Blackhawks.
Bobby Brink, a former Minnetonka High School sensation in his second season with the Wild, brawled with former Andover High School standout Wyatt Kaiser, who is in his fifth season with Chicago.

The fight happened in the final minute of the second period. Kaiser put a big hit on Brink, who moments later, appeared to extend an invitation to his fellow Minnesotan for a bare-knuckled battle.

According to HockeyFights, it was Kaiser’s fourth career fight as a professional and the first of Brink’s career.
Brink, who scored two goals for Minnesota in the 4-3 exhibition loss, led Minnetonka to a state championship in 2018 as a sophomore before leaving to play junior hockey for two seasons. He then played at Denver University, where he led the nation in scoring in 2021-22 as the Pioneers defeated Minnesota State-Mankato in the national championship game.
Kaiser played at Andover through his junior season in 2019-20, helping the Huskies reached the state tournament for the first time in school history. He then played three seasons at Minnesota-Duluth before signing a contract with the Blackhawks.
Kaiser’s sister, Madison, is a redshirt senior for the Minnesota Gophers women’s hockey team.
