Eight athletes from across the Coastal Bend are up for this week's Caller-Times Apple Dental Center Athlete of the Week fan vote after standout performances in football, volleyball and cross country.
The nominees include four football players, three volleyball players and one cross country runner. The athletes featured are from Bishop, Three Rivers, King, Ingleside, Carroll, Agua Dulce, London and Orange Grove.

Students in all varsity sports are eligible to be nominated. The poll will close on Thursday and the winners will be announced soon after.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Monday and can be submitted through email at [email protected], by messaging the Caller-Times through its Facebook page or on Twitter @CallerSports.

THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES
Braxten Montalvo, Bishop football — Montalvo passed for 404 yards and three touchdowns and added two rushing touchdowns against King.
Paxton Soliz, Three Rivers football — Soliz rushed for 295 yards and four touchdowns and added 153 yards passing and a touchdown against Freer.
Damon Smith, King football — Smith caught six passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns and returned a fumble 54 yards for another touchdown against Bishop.
Landon Younk, Ingleside football — Younk completed 20 of 24 passes for 315 yards and seven touchdowns against Moody.
Elaina Lucido, Carroll girls cross country — Lucido won the Islanders Splash 5A-6A Gold Race with a time of 18 minutes, 33.90 seconds.
Emily Garza, Agua Dulce volleyball — Garza recorded 17 kills, 33 assists, 21 digs and two blocks in a win against Taft.
Alana Williams, London volleyball — Williams had 21 kills, 12 digs and four blocks in London's five-set win against Port Lavaca Calhoun.
Lorena Montalvo, Orange Grove volleyball — Montalvo led Orange Grove with 17 kills, 21 digs, 20 assists and an ace in a three-set win against Pleasanton.
