Manchester United players will be licking their wounds today after slumping to a dismal 1-0 Manchester derby defeat yesterday evening.
Manchester City would’ve been surprised by the sheer lack of threat United posed throughout the 90 minutes, even when having the extra man from the 23rd minute onwards.

While he didn’t look out of place against Azerbaijan outfit Sabah, the 21-year-old has been criticised for his defensive showing on Sunday.
Bruno Fernandes was even spotted having stern words with Dorgu at one point in the clash, with Samuel Luckhurst writing on Twitter/X: “This has been abysmal game management from MUFC.
“City have looked likelier in the final third, despite being a player light, and too many United players look totally fazed. Fernandes giving Dorgu a rollocking.”
The result leaves United 13th after matchweek four, and they will take on a struggling Fulham side at Craven Cottage this weekend.
They’ll hope it’s a win; otherwise, their tumultuous form will be the topic of discussion for most news outlets over the lengthy three-week international break.
