Iowa State – Utah kickoff time announced

Iowa State’s Big 12 Conference opener against Utah – currently No. 17 in the AP Poll – at Jack Trice Stadium will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CDT on FOX according to social media Monday afternoon. 

A pair of promotions are scheduled for the Sept. 26 game, fans are encouraged to wear white for the “White out!” and the Iowa State Hall of Fame officially recognizes their six newest members: Chris Baker, Christina Hillman, Lawrence “Big Daddy” Hunt, Edward Kemboi, Georges Niang and Jay Schindler.

Iowa State won the most recent matchup, claiming a 31-28 road victory in Salt Lake City on Nov. 23, 2024, in the first meeting between the programs as Big 12 Conference opponents. Utah’s last game at Jack Trice Stadium took place on Oct. 9, 2010, resulting in a 68-27 win for the Utes.

Iowa State holds a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series history. Prior to the 2010 contest, the Cyclones won the first four meetings: a 16-13 road win in 1970, a 44-22 home victory in 1972, a 31-3 road win in 1975 and a 44-14 home win in 1976.
