Yesterday was going really well until it wasn’t.

The Cats got a defensive touchdown to start the game, and Kentucky too a lead into the halfime break.

However, things changed in the second half, as Alabama outscored Kentucky 32-0 in the second half to come away with a 45-17 victory.

So, how will Kentucky respond to the first setback of the Will Stein era?

Things don’t really get easier for Kentucky, as the Wildcats go on the road next Saturday for a matchup at Texas A&M.The Cats will head into one of the toughest home-field environments in the country and look to pull off an upset win.

The Aggies defeated Arizona State and former Kentucky quarterback Cutter Boley yesterday by a score of 48-20, a game that saw the Aggie defense score twice in the fourth quarter to help secure a win for A&M.

The BBN did its part yesterday, creating a fantastic environment tailor-made for a big upset win. We probably won’t see another environment like that at Kroger Field this season, but there are some big home games remaining on the schedule, including matchups against LSU, Vanderbilt, Florida and Louisville. Hopefully we’ll see more rowdy crowds at Kroger Field later this season.

As disappointing as the loss to Alabama was, it’s time to put it in the rear view and move forward. There’s still plenty of football left to play this season.
