Fabrizio Romano confirms agreement reached for Liverpool midfielder deal

Liverpool now have less than a week to get their team in order.
Andoni Iraola and RIchard Hughes were expected to be going through another massive rebuild this summer after the Reds only finished fifth in the Premier League.

Several of their big money signings including Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak failed to deliver which meant that most of their team underperformed.
And, now that Mohamed Salah has also exited, some major changes have clearly occurred at Anfield.
Indeed, three players have already been brought in but, at the moment, it's unclear whether they're going to be as good as those that they have replaced.
Obviously, Liverpool need new players but, that hasn't stopped them from moving even more of their squad on before they've even thought about replacing those who have already exited.
This isn't really the best way to go about business, especially if the Reds are wanting to get back to the top.
Fabrizio Romano confirms that Stefan Bajcetic is about to join Celta Vigo
Liverpool's midfield has been one of the main talking points of the summer.
Even though it's clear to everyone else that they need new midfielders, for some reason, Liverpool don't believe that they need any at all.
That is, despite Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch proving why they can't be played as a double pivot in their 2-2 draw against Newcastle on Sunday.
Each player wants to push forward and, since Wirtz is already the Reds' number 10, Szoboszlai and Gravenberch both leave Liverpool very exposed at the back.
However, Liverpool's lack of a proper number six clearly isn't bothering them as, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are now about to get rid of Stefan Bajcetic as well.
"Celta Vigo are closing in on personal terms agreement with Stefan Bajcetic to join from Liverpool," he shared.
Stefan Bajcetic's Liverpool career was ruined by injuries
When Jurgen Klopp was in charge of Liverpool, Bajcetic, Elliott and Curtis Jones were his three wonderkids.
He gave each of them their debuts for the Reds and, even though all three may have left L4 by the end of the 2026-27 summer transfer window, with the German in charge, Liverpool's fanbase felt like they had the next generation of their midfield sorted.
At a very young age, Bajcetic was starting for the Reds but, thanks to injuries and a couple of poor loan moves to RB Salzburg and Las Palmas, his Liverpool career never really took off under another Liverpool manager.
This is obviously quite sad to see as, if he managed to keep fit and continued developing from the 2022-23 season, he could've easily been Liverpool's first-choice number six.
But, the world works in mysterious ways and, even though he's now fit and ready to play, it seems like Liverpool aren't willing to take any more risks on him.
Here's hoping that the Spaniard can find his feet again and do well with his boyhood club, or at lest, get a season of games under his belt.
