SALEM, Va. (WFXR) -- Shoutout to the Salem RidgeYaks baseball team. The Yaks are now in first place in the Carolina League North Division as they lead the Fayetteville Woodpeckers by a half a game. Salem took 4 out of 5 games from Fayetteville last week. Sunday's game with the Woodpeckers was rained out. The game will be made up on August 26th as a doubleheader in Fayetteville. Salem opens up a 6 game series at last place Delmarva on Tuesday.
