In just his second NFL season, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye led the team to the Super Bowl. While the Pats fell short against the Seahawks, Maye quickly established himself as the face of the franchise.

Now entering Year 3 in New England, Maye is looking to not only grow as one of the top players at his position, but also as a reliable leader. With offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels by his side and head coach Mike Vrabel in his ear, Maye is feeling more confident each day.
"The biggest thing I kept on saying last year was like, 'I feel like I need to do something in this league,'" Maye said (via The Boston Globe). "[The coaching staff] kept on pushing me and said, 'You got to expect that to happen.'
"So, I definitely got some more comfort in that area of pushing the guys. I think I need to do it more — celebrating, being louder and showing my personality more."
Maye has been hot at training camp, connecting with multiple receivers, including A.J. Brown. The 23-year-old has become a more vocal leader early in training camp, and his teammates have noticed the change.
"[I] put a year on tape where I feel like I did some good things and felt like I knew what I was doing most of the time," Maye said (via WJAR). "Trying to get to the level of coach McDaniels and some of the coaches is what we're all trying to do. How they see it, how they want us to execute it.
"From there, we can direct guys, and I can push guys to get to that level, and that's the goal."
