Broncos' projected quarterback depth chart going into training camp

The Denver Broncos are going into training camp with the same three quarterbacks they rostered last season. Time will tell if that remains the case when the regular season arrives in September.
There were rumblings this spring that the team could look to trade Jarrett Stidham. Such a trade hasn't happened yet, but a trade scenario can't be ruled out as we approach preseason.

For now, Stidham is competing with Sam Ehlinger for the QB2 job behind starter Bo Nix. Ehlinger showed great loyalty to the club last season, turning down active-roster offers from three NFL teams in 2025. If the Broncos eventually do trade Stidham, they could reward Ehlinger's loyalty by promoting him to QB2. Or he could simply win the backup job this summer, which would demote Stidham to QB3.

- QB1: Bo Nix
- QB2: Jarrett Stidham
- QB3: Sam Ehlinger
Stidham has held the QB2 title since coach Sean Payton arrived in 2023, so he's still the initial favorite going into training camp, at least in our estimation. Note that this is a projected depth chart. Denver's not required to release an official depth chart until preseason games begin in August.
The battle for the QB2 job will heat up when those preseason games arrive next month.
