If the Miami Heat are the team that eventually wins the LeBron James sweepstakes, there seems to have been an assumption that his son, Bronny James, would follow him.

The Heat taking on Bronny probably wasn't something they wanted to do, especially with the possibility that Thanasis Antetokounmpo could follow his brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Having two family members on the same roster really doesn't help anyone involved, especially players of Thanasis' and Bronny's caliber.

Regarding the Bronny situation, however, it doesn't sound like that's an expectation as of now, at least according to the latest reports.

“One quick additional note: Don't expect LeBron's son, Bronny James, to instantly go wherever dad does, reports Dan Woike at The Athletic. After a couple of years of work, Bronny has developed into a player who looks like he could someday be an NBA rotation player. He has taken big strides to get there, and while there's a long way to go, the Lakers have been impressed and like him. They reportedly are not looking just to dump him wherever Dad goes,” Kurt Helin wrote.

Bronny is a much better player than Thanasis, so if the Heat end up with one of them, I'd say Miami probably wants LeBron's son.

Regardless, that isn't something Miami has to worry about right now, at the very least, so it'll be interesting to see how things go in that regard.
