The Philadelphia Phillies have turned their season around from what was a 9-19 start into a 35-30 season and a spot in the Wild Card.

While Cristopher Sanchez, Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Zack Wheeler, Jhoan Duran, and others have led this turnaround, so too has outfielder Brandon Marsh, who's finally breaking out this season.

Marsh is having a great 2026 season and is deserving of an All-Star spot. But Jim Bowden of The Athletic predicts that, much to the dismay of Phillies fans, Mash will miss the All-Star Game, as seven other outfielders in the NL earn spots over him this season.

Brandon Marsh predicted to miss All-Star nod to seven NL outfielders

In right field, Bowden has James Wood as the starter, with Corbin Carroll and Jordan Walker as depth options. In center field, Andy Pages is the starter, while Michael Harris II and Pete Crow-Armstrong are bench options. Lastly, Juan Soto is the starting left fielder.

All seven outfielders are predicted to make the NL All-Star team over Marsh, who has the best batting average in MLB at .338 this season to go with eight homers, 2.1 bWAR, and an .890 OPS.

Of the outfielders Bowden predicts will be named to the All-Star team over Marsh, Harris is the closest with a .306 batting average, and then Walker at .303. Everyone else is at a .285 or worse, with PCA at a .258 average this season.

Going by OPS, Wood, Carroll, Walker, and Soto are ahead of Marsh, but every other outfielder is below Marsh's .890 OPS this season, with Crow-Armstrong's .784 the worst mark of these outfielders.

The Phillies' fan favorite outfielder is deserving of an All-Star spot, but Bowden is predicting a few others get the nod over him this summer despite the All-Star festivities occurring in Philadelphia.

Hopefully, Marsh continues to stay hot, and some of these other outfielders begin to struggle so Marsh can get the All-Star nod that he rightfully deserves this summer.
