The Manhattan native has been going to Knicks games since he was a child, and with his large finances, thanks to his acting career, he can sit courtside on Celebrity Row. However, many fans have questioned how much the man in Anchorman and Dodgeball pays for these prized tickets.

Along with that question, many viewers have asked what is entailed with earned tickets to Celebrity Row. As it turns out, there's more to landing playoff tickets on the row versus solely being famous.

Here's a look at the process behind landing Celebrity Row tickets to this year's NBA Finals.

How much does Ben Stiller pay for Knicks NBA Finals tickets?

At the moment, it is unclear the sum of money Stiller dished out for courtside seats at the 2026 NBA Finals. Stiller is a part of the entourage of Madison Square Garden's biggest names and often sits in an area designated as "Celebrity Row."

There are some stipulations for those who have access to sit in celebrity row, according to Front Office Sports. Here is an explainer that describes the process entailed in sitting in the prized row.

“Lower case celebrity row is basically the broader courtside area where you’ll see dozens of athletes, actors, singers, sitting in the most expensive, camera-friendly seats,” explains Front Office Sports reporter Pilar Rossi. “Upper case Celebrity Row is the ultra-exclusive of six to eight front row seats reserved for the biggest names in the building.”

Stiller sits in Celebrity Row (uppercase), meaning he has a lot of eyes on him and some of the best seats in the house.

How much do Ben Stiller's seats cost?

During the regular season, if a personality is selected to be worthy of Celebrity Row, the seat prices for a regular season game range from $4,000 to $6,000, according to Secret NYC. In the playoffs, the price tag for a courtside seat can reportedly exceed $30,000 and stretch as far as north of $75,000, according to Stubhub's Game 3 tickets.

Ahead of New York's Game 3, the Garden of Dreams Foundation is hosting an auction of one celebrity row seat. The current bid, as of June 5, is $500,000, according to the auction site.

It is unknown whether Stiller or any other big-name celebrity gets any kind of discount for being such a regular face and longtime fan of the Knicks.

Does Ben Stiller have season tickets?

Despite being such a regular sight at Madison Square Garden, it's not fully known whether Stiller has season tickets. During the regular season, he does not attend every game (most likely due to his acting and work schedule), so spending a fortune on season tickets may not make the most sense for him despite his immense wealth.

According to The Ringer, Stiller became interested in the Knicks as a child in the 1970s. His father's friend owned season tickets and got to meet some of the franchise's most special players.

"They had eighth row behind the Knicks’ basket, and so sometimes we would go and sit there with them," Stiller told The Ringer in 2025. "This was maybe like when I was 8 years old, 1973. So I remember being introduced to Phil Jackson and people like that, and since then I just started going."
