The 49ers announced that they will not be holding mandatory minicamp this offseason. They were scheduled to hold minicamp on June 9 and 10, but head coach Kyle Shanahan called it off.

Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area shared the news via X.

"Coach Kyle Shanahan has canceled next week's mandatory minicamp as a reward for 100-percent attendance this week and the work put in during the 49ers' offseason program, a team official says," Maiocco wrote

The reason that the 49ers decided to do this was due to their perfect attendance in this week's voluntary work.

The next time the 49ers will likely get together will be in mid-July, when NFL teams can open training camp for rookies up to seven days before veterans are required to report.

Training camp is next on the agenda for the 49ers and the rest of the league.

49ers looking to bounce back after playoff disappointment

San Francisco is projected to be one of the best teams in the league. Led by Shanahan, the 49ers have as good a chance as any of the others contedners do to be the last team standing.

According to FOX Sports, the 49ers' win total is set at 10.,5 tied with their division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams

San Francisco fell short in the divisional round of the playoffs last season against the Seahawks. This season, they'll look to have health on their side and make a deep playoff run.
