Weeks is the second former Tiger to go to the Colts. He follows safety A.J. Haulcy, who got selected by the Colts in the third round at No. 78 overall.

After starting his collegiate career at Virginia, Weeks transferred to LSU ahead of the 2022 season. He joined forces with his brother and fellow LSU linebacker, Whit Weeks. Both made an impact in 2025, along with their third brother, Zach Weeks.

West made 11 starts in 2025. He totaled 74 tackles, including eight for loss and 2.5 sacks, along with one pass breakup and one pass deflection. Out of his five seasons of college football, 2025 was the most productive as he played a role in moving LSU's defense forward under coordinator Blake Baker.
