Tennessee baseball defeats West Georgia to end nine-game homestand

Tennessee (30-15, 10-11 SEC) ended a nine-game homestand on Tuesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols will defeated West Georgia (11-34, 8-13 ASUN), 13-0, in seven innings.

Cam Appenzeller started for Tennessee and pitched one inning. He recorded two strikeouts and 14 pitches, including 13 strikes, against four batters.

Brayden Krenzel (2-3) pitched 1.1 innings in relief for the Vols and earned his second win of the season.

Tennessee totaled 14 hits against the Wolves, including five home runs. Reese Chapman, Levi Clark, Nate Eisfelder, Henry Ford and Manny Marin hit one home run each for the Vols.

The Vols will open their three-game road series at Kentucky on Friday (6:30 p.m. EDT). Game 2 on Saturday is slated for 2 p.m. EDT, while a series finale will be contested May 3 at 1 p.m. EDT. All games can be watched on SEC Network+.

Three weeks remain in the regular season ahead of the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama.
