He spent the past two seasons in South Bend and played in 18 games as a freshman in 2024-25 before making 16 starts this past season. Certa appeared in all 31 games for the Fighting Irish and shot 37.4 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from beyond the arc. He was also an 89 percent shooter from the free-throw line.
Certa averaged almost 13 points per game in 2025-26 on a Notre Dame team that finished 13-18 overall and 4-14 in ACC play.
Certa is Clemson's first addition in the transfer portal this cycle. The Tigers finished 24-11 overall this past season, including 12-6 in ACC play. Clemson reached the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season but fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes in the first round in Tampa, Florida.
