Adam McGill has been racing number 521 in GNCC ATV competition since 2008. Known as "The Gator," the West Virginia native spent more than half his life on four wheels. After 20 years in the XC1 Pro class, 2026 is his last season. Moose Offroad, one of his longest-running sponsors, responded by producing "521: The Adam McGill Story," a four-episode documentary series. Episode 1 is out now.

Episode 1 explores McGill's West Virginia roots and how he got started on quads. It features interviews with his father, mother, wife, and family friends. You get the full picture of where The Gator came from before you ever see him at the start line.

McGill started riding at 6. He turned pro in 2008 after winning the GNCC Pro Am Championship and the AMA ATVA Amateur Rider of the Year Award. He was a podium presence every year of his professional career.

More Than Race Results

McGill never won a GNCC overall ATV championship. But he raced through every era, from Ballance to Borich to Walker to Neal. He led points standings. He won individual rounds. He was one of the guys to beat for two decades.

His last win came at the 2024 John Penton GNCC. He called it the most meaningful race of his career. His father was there.

Off the track, he built the McGill Mafia, a loyal fan following, and became one of the most active rider mentors in the GNCC paddock. In his own words, helping younger riders eventually mattered more to him than his own results.
