Recently, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was asked if Brown returning to the injured reserve list was a possibility at this point in the season.
“I can just speak on today and where he’s at today and what we feel like he can do today. So, that’s why I said he wouldn’t be out there today,” said Vrabel, per Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald on X, formerly Twitter.

If nothing else, Brown’s status vs the Packers on Sunday certainly seems to be in jeopardy amid another missed practice.
Brown was previously out of the lineup and on injured reserve for New England earlier this year after suffering an ankle injury in the first game of the season against the Seattle Seahawks, and he hasn’t exactly looked great in the couple of games he’s played since returning from that injury, including putting together a brutal performance a few weeks ago against the New York Jets.
Still, the Patriots have been finding ways to chug along and string together wins, now sitting at 5-3 on the season and gaining momentum as they try to return to the NFL playoffs to defend their AFC crown from a year ago.
In any case, the Patriots and Packers are slated to get things underway on Sunday at 4:25 pm ET from Foxborough.
