The Detroit Lions improved to 5-2 with a 19-15 come-from-behind win over the previously unbeaten Minnesota Vikings (6-1). But, the Lions also saw defensive captain and franchise cornerstone linebacker Jack Campbell exit with a scary injury.

The Lions' latest update is that Campbell is resting and will remain in a local hospital overnight for continued evaluation and monitoring. The team will provide further updates as they become available.

Campbell lay face down and motionless on the Ford Field turf after tackling Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson on the first play of the fourth quarter. Eventually, Campbell was placed on a backboard, carefully lifted, and then carted off the field. The Lions initially reported that Campbell had been transported to a local hospital where he was set to be evaluated for a neck injury.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell didn't have any new information on Campbell's status immediately following Detroit's win, but shared his well wishes to Jack Campbell and his family.

"Let me start with this, thoughts and prayers are with Jack and his family. He's being taken care of. We don't have any new information. We'll keep you updated as this goes, but we're thinking about him," Campbell said of his star linebacker.

As Dan Campbell addressed the team in the locker room following their win, he and the team kneeled and prayed for Jack Campbell.
