It seems like the rumors are flying around George Pickens and the Dallas Cowboys. But what’s next is the matchup against the Cardinals. And CeeDee Lamb is seeking revenge on the Cardinals in Week 8 after a losing streak, according to a post on X by Todd Archer.

“CeeDee Lamb was asked about a ‘heightened awareness’ this week for the Cowboys because Arizona beat them last year. ‘I’ve never beat the Cardinals since I’ve been in the league, so that’s kind of fair to say,’ Lamb said.’I wouldn’t say heightened focus, but it’s definitely another take.’ ”

What’s up with the Cowboys losing to the lowly Cardinals?

Arizona has won four straight (2020, ’22, ’23 and ’25) and three have been at AT&T Stadium. Lamb said the Cardinals have been a different bunch when they play the Cowboys.

“They’ve always had more energy,” Lamb said. “Just coming out in the game, they’re more excited regardless of if it was at 12 o’clock, Sunday night, Monday night. We played them in primetime. They beat us there. So just coming in, treating them as if they are a Super Bowl-contending team, which they may be, you know what I’m saying? So hats off to them in their prep. And we just got to go match them, if not overpower them.”

Uh, the Cardinals may be a Super Bowl-contending team? Seriously? Why do the Cowboys need to invent fake narratives to get themselves fired up for an NFL game? Weird stuff.

One good thing for the Cowboys is they are coming off an impressive offensive performance — even if it was against a team that looked mailed in over the last 15-20 minutes. Lamb said the Cowboys rediscovered their identity, according to dallascowboys.com.

“No, that’s exactly who we are. We’re better balanced,” he said. “We could beat you in a run game. We could beat you in the pass [game].”

Individually, Lamb says defenses cannot guard him.

“I think my ability to line up anywhere in the offense and run any route on the route tree,” Lamb said. “I feel like I could (beat) anybody in front of me, and I’m standing on that.”
