The (4-3) Green Bay Packers host the (3-3) Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football. One player Green Bay should have on its radar is star pass rusher Jaelan Phillips. Phillips last faced the Packers in Week 10 of last season with the Eagles, recording seven pressures and a whopping 19.4% pressure rate. Things will be different now that Rasheed Walker is with Carolina and Zach Bako-Bewele is out for the season. Jordan Morgan will start at left tackle, and Anthony Belton will start at right tackle.

However, Phillips is dealing with a hamstring injury sustained in Week 4 against the Lions. After a Week 5 bye, he didn’t practice and missed Week 6 against the Eagles and Week 7 against the Buccaneers. Jaelan Phillips did not practice on Wednesday, a negative sign regarding his Week 8 availability. According to Adam Schefter, the Panthers ruled Phillips out for Thursday Night Football, a massive break for the Packers offense. Second-year up-and-comer and leading-sack artist Princely Umanmielen and former Viking Patrick Jones II are expected to start at outside linebacker, while former Bear Trevis Gipson and former Ram Nick Hampton will serve as the two backups.
