The Los Angeles Rams continue to make moves on special teams in an attempt to fix the ongoing issues, signing three more players to their practice squad on Wednesday. They announced that they've signed kicker Joshua Karty, long snapper Jake McQuaide and linebacker Jon Rhattigan.

To make room, the Rams cut lineman Austin Blaske, cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean and linebacker Elias Neal from the practice squad.

Karty returns to the Rams for his second stint with the team after spending two years in Los Angeles from 2024 to 2025. The Rams cut him following some serious struggles last season, replacing him with Harrison Mevis, who's no longer with the team. He hasn't kicked in an NFL game since being cut by the Rams last year.

McQuaide came out of retirement last season to replace Alex Ward as the long snapper, doing a nice job down the stretch in 2025. It's a surprise that he's returned to the Rams considering they signed Joe Cardona to a contract with $3.45 million guaranteed this offseason.

Rhattigan figures to be a special teams piece for Los Angeles. The Rams have been unable to cover kickoffs this season, something that Sean McVay admitted has been driving him "crazy."

Karty will be the backup to Brandon McManus, who made his Rams debut last week and made all five PATs but didn't attempt a field goal. McQuaide is likely just insurance in case Cardona gets hurt, while also providing some insight and experience to a special teams group that is the worst in the NFL.
