Bayern Munich put on a strong performance in the face of adversity, ending in a 3-1 win over SC Freiburg, with Serge Gnabry’s sublime finish in the first half playing a key role in helping Bayern maintain their lead. Gnabry’s goal also marked the 100th time he has found the back of the net in the Bundesliga, which is a marvelous feat to have accomplished. Speaking after the game, Gnabry acknowledged the milestone while expressing his joy that the team won.
“Right now we’re just happy that we won today. The three points are important for everyone who unfortunately couldn’t be with us today and isn’t doing well. As for me, scoring my 100th Bundesliga goal is a very special moment. I wasn’t really thinking about it, but the most important thing was that it helped the team win,” said Gnabry (as captured via @iMiaSanMia).
