The Wisconsin Badgers have put together quite a strong 2027 recruiting class, which includes 22 commits and ranks in the Top 30 nationally for the cycle.

Wisconsin continued its recruiting momentum last month when it added the commitment of five-star 2028 edge rusher Jalanie George, who hails from Desert Edge High School in Arizona, which has already produced a couple of Badgers so far.
Now, the Badgers are trending for a flip. According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Wisconsin is looking to flip four-star linebacker Blake Betton, a Minnesota native, from the Penn State Nittany Lions. Betton is on campus for Wisconsin’s game against the USC Trojans, and Wiltfong believes a flip is likely.
“But before it all, Betton is already feeling Wisconsin and looks closer to being a Badger than he does remaining in the fold with Penn State,” Wiltfong wrote. “He gave the Nittany Lions a verbal back in April.”
The Minnesota native is considered a top-three player in his state and would be another nice addition to a strong 2027 class for the Badgers. So far, Wisconsin has commitments from three-stars Nathan Jones and Keaton Wollan at the position in the class.
Overall, Betton has picked up over two dozen offers during his recruitment. He was back at Penn State on an unofficial visit just two weeks ago, according to 247Sports, but now it looks like a flip is trending to happen.
