Bayern Munich will have to make do without Joshua Kimmich once again, with the midfielder still unavailable for Sunday’s Bundesliga clash against SC Freiburg, according to Sky Germany (via @iMiaSanMia).

Kimmich missed Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Champions League after the passing of a family member. The German international was understandably absent from the team as he dealt with the difficult personal circumstances.

Unfortunately for the Bavarians, Kimmich will not be available for Bayern Munich’s next assignment either, leaving the head coach with another important decision to make in midfield.

Tom Bischof is a potential option to step in alongside Aleksandar Pavlović, having been considered as Kimmich’s replacement against Arsenal. Bayern Munich will need its midfield to maintain its intensity, composure, and ability to control possession against an SC Freiburg side that should not be underestimated.

Kimmich’s absence is undoubtedly a setback for Bayern Munich, given his leadership, passing range, and importance to the team’s overall structure. However, the club’s immediate priority should remain supporting the midfielder and allowing him the time he needs.

Bayern Munich will hope to get Kimmich back when he is ready, but Sunday’s match presents another opportunity for the squad to demonstrate its depth and adaptability.
