How Did Mike Malott Knock Out Joaquin Buckley?

Buckley elected not to shake UFC CEO Dana White or Malott’s hands at weigh-ins. He had a pre-fight interview backstage and didn’t speak to Paramount Plus’ reporter, though it appeared he may have told her what his intentions were.

Buckley seemed focused, but he got caught dipping his head and looking to land a left hook. That was a crushing shot that will likely require Buckley to take some time away from fighting. He has now lost three fights in a row and will likely drop from No. 8 in the UFC rankings next week.
