Central Railway organised an Online Awareness Session on Cyber Security and Cyber Hygiene on 12.10.2026, as part of its activities during the Vigilance Awareness Week–2026. The session aimed to promote safe digital practices and strengthen awareness about cyber security among railway officers and staff. Organised by the Vigilance Department of Central Railway, the session was conducted at the Conference Hall of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mumbai Division, with participation from officers and staff across Central Railway through the online platform. The session featured a presentation by the IT Centre team of Central Railway Headquarters, covering important aspects of cyber security and cyber hygiene, including safe digital practices, protection of official information and prevention of cyber-related threats. The session also created awareness about the importance of information security and the responsible use of digital resources by the staff in their official and day-to-day activities. The activity was part of the Vigilance Awareness Week–2026, being observed from 26 October to 1 November 2026, with the theme “सतर्कता से समृद्धि” (Prosperity through Vigilance). The initiative reflects Central Railway’s commitment to promoting awareness, responsibility and vigilance in the digital environment, alongside the broader values of integrity, transparency and accountability.

Through such awareness initiatives, Central Railway seeks to encourage a strong culture of cyber hygiene among its workforce and to equip officers and staff with the awareness necessary to recognise and guard against potential cyber threats.
