Over the course of the past few weeks, the New Orleans Saints defense has really struggled to maintain any resemblance of consistency. Between penalties, injuries, and an overall lack of success, the issues culminated on Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons, as the team nearly allowed a 50-spot to their division rivals.

However, Week 5 started differently, with some tough plays, but then a huge forced fumble by Khristian Boyd, which was recovered by Chase Young and returned out to nearly their 30-yard line.

Young has forced a few fumbles this season, but they have mostly been called back due to the knee being down, or at least being called as such. His last 12 months or so have been absolutely spectacular, and exactly what the Saints wanted when extending him.
As for Boyd, he has really stepped up lately, and with the absence of Nathan Shepherd in Week 5 due to injury, he will need to continue to do so if the defense is to have any chance to keep this one close.
