It will be the third straight game that Daniels has been sidelined by an unspecified injury after he went down in the Buckeyes’ loss at Texas on Sept 12.
The Buckeyes ruled out Daniels on their availability report submitted to the Big Ten a day ahead of kickoff against the Hawkeyes.
The absence of Daniels for the top-15 matchup leaves Ohio State’s starting offensive line to likely include Austin Siereveld at right tackle and Gabe VanSickle at right guard. Siereveld slid over from right guard to replace Daniels in recent weeks.
The Buckeyes continued to list starting nickel back Jay Timmons as questionable on their availability report. Timmons, a freshman who has been one of the Buckeyes’ more disruptive defenders to start the year, left early in last week’s win over Illinois with an unspecified injury.
Tight end Bennett Christian was off the availability report, leaving him in line to return after he was out against the Illini.
Ohio State’s pregame availability report for Iowa is to be released two hours ahead of kickoff.
