Week 4 was a good one! For everyone! The worst performance was CDA at 5-5. Cole, Andrew, and I were all a respectable 6-4. The editor and his adoring public matched at 7-3. The real winner was Import at a ridiculous 8-2. Overall, that left the staff at 38-22 for the week and 194-184 for the season.

The keys to success were having unanimous correct picks on Georgia to win by more than 13.5 over Oklahoma, Alabama to beat South Carolina by more than 12.5, and Oregon to win by more than 2.5 over USC. I was the only one that did not trust Vanderbilt staying within 9.5 of Auburn. We did all miss on Arkansas blowing out Tulsa.

It is a short slate with 6 SEC-SEC games, LSU playing an FCS opponent with no betting lines available, and bye weeks for Ole Miss, Texas, and Oklahoma. The dealer’s choice swings to the ACC for Pittsburgh at Virginia Tech.

The Rules

  1. Normally, the picks are for all SEC games with one dealer’s choice where I get to choose another game to make us pick.
  2. The picks will be made AGAINST THE SPREAD. Too many games are easy to pick heads up. Also, this will serve as a PSA for why you should not get into sports gambling, which is especially important with sports gambling being legal in Tennessee now.
  3. The lines will be taken from FanDuel, who SB Nation has partnered with this season, some time Monday, so they may not match what is listed at the time this article is published. I may also use a backup for FBS-FCS matchups if the line is available elsewhere when I get the spreads.
