Browns, Steelers injuries: 5 ruled out, 2 questionable as PIT’s secondary up in the air

· Yahoo Sports

Injuries are always a big storyline in the NFL. For the Cleveland Browns, the loss of starting center Elgton Jenkins could be a big one for Week 4 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the visitors have concerns of their own. On Tuesday, news came out that DB Jalen Ramsey was dealing with a broken wrist after he was seen with a cast on his arm during the team’s walkthrough practice.

With the game kicking off Thursday night, the injury report on Wednesday was a big one, and it included each team missing or potentially missing multiple players at the same position, starting with Pittsburgh’s CB Joey Porter Jr.:

Browns injury report

  • OL Elgton Jenkins – Concussion – Out
  • OL Teven Jenkins – Back – Out
  • WR Tylan Wallace – Knee – Out

CB Tyson Campbell, S Grant Delpit, and OL Tytus Howard were full participants in Wednesday’s practice after being limited earlier in the week.

OL Luke Wypler will start in T. Jenkins’ place on Thursday.

Steelers injury report

  • CB Jalen Ramsey – Wrist – Questionable
  • RB Rico Dowdle – Toe – Out
  • CB Joey Porter Jr. – Back – Out
  • CB Brandin Echols – Concussion – Questionable

The decision on Ramsey could be interesting given the short week and the presence of the cast. Is a Week 4 AFC North lead worth risking further damage to a broken wrist? Echols, another cornerback, will have to pass all the concussion tests in order to play Thursday.

Do Jenkins and Porter being out equal each other out? Do you think Ramsey will play on Thursday Night Football?
