Former Charger Mekhi Becton lands with Packers

Former Chargers offensive lineman Mekhi Becton has signed a deal with the Packers.

Becton spent the 2025 season with the Chargers, his first and only season there. With the Chargers, Becton appeared in 15 games—14 starts—last season.
His time in Los Angeles was one to forget. According to Pro Football Focus, Becton graded out at 35.7, ranking 79th out of 81 among all qualified guards.
Becton's pass and run blocking grades weren't any better, posting a 45.1 grade and a 34.3 grade, respectively.
Last season with the Chargers, Becton allowed 37 total pressures in pass protection, including three sacks and seven hits to opposing pass rushers.
Becton suffered a torn labrum in 2025 that was surgically repaired. The New York Jets drafted him with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Becton has split his time between guard and tackle.
The 27-year-old signed a two-year, $20 million deal with the Chargers in the 2025 offseason, but they released him in March.
Becton was a free agent throughout the offseason and into the regular season.
