Steelers CB Brandin Echols in concussion protocol
· Yahoo Sports
The Pittsburgh Steelers are shorthanded in the secondary on a short week, which is not a great recipe for success. Things may be challenging for the Steelers defense in the back end when they play the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night with multiple contributors missing.

Cornerback Brandin Echols is currently in the concussion protocol following Sunday’s game against Cincinnati, according to Nick Farabaugh of PennLive. Echols left the Bengals game with concussion-like symptoms and will face a short timeline to return in time for Cleveland.
Jalen Ramsey was seen in the locker room with a sling on his right arm on Monday, according to WPXI’s Jenna Harner.
The Steelers are already missing safety DeShon Elliott for the fourth game in a row as he battles back from last year’s season-ending knee injury and remains on IR. Joey Porter Jr. didn’t play, continuing to “ramp up,” and was a limited participant in practice throughout the week.
Jamel Dean, Asante Samuel, and rookie Daylen Everette held down the fort on the outside as the Steelers’ depth was tested. Dean was limited throughout the week with an ankle injury.
Samuel didn’t play late in the game and appeared to be benched for Everette. Mike McCarthy said at his weekly press conference on Monday that Everette is pushing his way onto the field for additional snaps.
The Steelers and Browns begin week four on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. on Amazon Prime.
