Indian gangster linked to B.C. Sikh activist's murder on FBI top 10 list

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has added Satinderjeet Singh, a.k.a. Goldy Brar, the second-in-command of the Bishnoi gang, on the list of its 10 most wanted fugitives . The FBI said that Brar is wanted for his alleged role in gang crimes that include murder, kidnapping, extortion and drug trafficking.
The FBI is offering $1 million for information leading to his arrest.
Brar — alongside crime boss Bishnoi, who allegedly runs the organization from behind bars in India — is believed to have helped mastermind the 2023 execution-style slaying of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in B.C.
Brar considered a ‘dangerous individual’
“Satinderjeep Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, is a dangerous individual and the FBI and our partners have made it our priority to apprehend him, which is why we’re adding him to the FBI’s list of top 10 fugitives and offering a reward of up to $1 million dollars for his capture,” said FBI assistant director-in-charge Patrick Grandy. “The amount of attention this list will bring to his face and description cannot be overstated; his photo will be found on every FBI-affiliated website and social media platform and will be publicized on every phone around the world until he’s caught.”
Brar’s name was included in a U.S. indictment this summer during a cross-border probe into Indian organized crime. He was charged in July for ordering the hit on Nijjar — a Sikh sepraratist leader who was shot dead outside of a Sikh temple in Surrey, B.C.
Then-prime minister Justin Trudeau said Canadian intelligence agents linked Indian government agents to the hit. The accusation caused a diplomatic furor in India, which has repeatedly and vehemently denied the allegation.

Gang statement
Last year, the gang sent a brazen letter to Canadian authorities, including the defence minister, army and police, claiming that it had 5,000 active members in the country and boasted that “Canada has no guts to stop us.
“ We are giving you a written warning and challenge,” the gang said in a letter rife with spelling errors. “We are Indian gang Canada has no guts to stop us is that clear — we will rule in CANADA now no one can stop us we are very powerful.
“This is our time now Indian we have more than 5000 gang member in Canada they can do shooting for only $1000 can you stop us no way. You will see we will takeover CANADA soon.”
The Bishnoi gang has been designated a terrorist entity in Canada. The Trudeau Liberal government’s open-borders policy has reportedly let hundreds of thousands of unvetted immigrants into the country and gang members have snuck into the country with phony work or student permits, though politicians have done little to address the issue.
Canada Border Services Agency members told the Toronto Sun that efforts to block South Asian criminals from the country were frequently foiled by bureaucrats.
