Jaxson Dart Injury Sparks Shedeur Sanders Trade Calls From Frustrated Giants Fans
The Giants lost Dart on their seventh offensive snap against the Rams after LA linebacker Byron Young delivered a hit to Dart’s right side. While the injury initially appeared concerning, subsequent reports indicated that the situation could be considerably worse.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Dart and the Giants are now dealing with the possibility that he could require season-ending knee surgery. Head coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday that the medical evaluation of Dart’s knee remained ongoing.
With Dart sidelined indefinitely, the Giants are expected to turn to veteran quarterback Jameis Winston. However, the uncertainty surrounding Dart’s status prompted several fans to suggest that New York should explore a potential move for Shedeur Sanders.

“I’ve been making fun of Watson haters rooting against the team. I’m a Giants fan who has hated Winston worse than y’all hate Watson. Now Dart’s out for the year. Only thing worse would be Giants trading for Shedeur,” a fan remarked, making it clear he’s against that idea.

“Giants saw Shedeur up close and personal during the draft… They won’t touch that kid with a 10-foot pole,” one person added.

Sanders competed with Deshaun Watson for the Browns’ starting job throughout preseason and training camp. However, Cleveland ultimately named Watson its starter before the regular season, and he has remained in that role through both Week 1 and Week 2.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Dart’s injury, the idea of the Giants potentially exploring bringing in Sanders is only speculation at this point.
