Puka Nacua questionable for Monday Night Football

Puka Nacua missed his second straight day of practice on Saturday due to a hip injury and Sean McVay says that the Los Angeles Rams will list him as questionable for Monday Night Football against the Giants. Nacua suffered a psoas injury in training camp but participated in Week 1’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers without any noticeable setbacks.

Now over a week later, Nacua is in danger of missing a game that the Rams can’t afford to lose any more key players.

The Rams have already placed Myles Garrett on IR, keeping the star edge rusher out for at least four games. That was an injury that went from being dismissed as “no big deal” but onlookers in training camp to now costing Garrett at least a month. Similarly, Nacua’s injury was scoffed at as preseason caution, if not a “smoke screen”, and he’s not practicing with a huge game coming up against the Giants.

Davante Adams would assume the role of Matthew Stafford’s top receiver, but tight ends Colby Parkinson and Terrance Ferguson should prepare for elevated roles if Nacua is out. Jordan Whittington also missed practice on Friday, so the Rams could be down two receivers instead of one. It may be the first time that fans see either Tutu Atwell or C.J. Daniels this season if Nacua is inactive; both receivers were a healthy scratch in Week 1.

Nacua missed one game in 2025 and six games in 2024. The Rams would not like to see him miss any games in 2026.
