Fleetwood High School graduate Nate Herb, a junior on the Shippensburg University men’s soccer team, earned the PSAC Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week honor for his performance in the Raiders’ 3-1 win over Bloomsburg.

Herb scored a pair of goals in the victory, the Raiders’ first over the Huskies in seven years.
He helped the Raiders jump out to a 3-0 first half lead with a pair of headers, the first on a Mathieu Barbirati corner in the 13th minute, and the second on an Evan Brandt free kick at the 38-minute mark.
The junior centerback also played a key role defensibly, holding the Huskies to just two second-half shots on goal even as the opposition upped the pressure offensively.
It was the first two-goal performance of Herb’s career.
Herb has a dual major in Personal Financial Planning and Accounting.
