Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens received mixed injury news on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Ravens opened the 2026 season with a 41-23 win over Indianapolis on Sunday, with Jackson throwing for 324 yards and a touchdown. The two-time NFL MVP also added a rushing score and helped Baltimore’s offense produce 526 total yards in the victory.
The strong offensive performance gave new head coach Jesse Minter a winning start, but the Ravens also lost two of their top wide receivers to injuries.

Ja’Kobi Lane injury adds to Ravens concerns

The second-round pick caught one pass for 11 yards, while an apparent touchdown earlier in the game was wiped out by a holding penalty.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the initial diagnosis was a fractured wrist. Lane is expected to undergo further testing, including an MRI, to determine the full extent of the injury.
Garafolo and Ian Rapoport later reported that Lane is expected to miss several weeks. His absence leaves Baltimore with fewer options at receiver heading into Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints.

Zay Flowers huge game ends with hamstring injury
Flowers was having one of the best games of his career before leaving with a hamstring injury. He caught five passes for 150 yards and a touchdown, including a 54-yard score, before exiting late in the first half.
The latest update on Flowers is more encouraging. Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the injury is not considered serious, while Flowers will undergo an MRI and is considered day-to-day heading into testing.
Flowers’ availability for Week 2 remains uncertain. NBC Sports’ Mike Florio reported that the receiver aggravated the hamstring injury he suffered during joint practices with the Vikings, meaning Baltimore could be cautious with him against New Orleans.
