Three injured Ravens headline inactive list for Week 1 against Colts

The Baltimore Ravens will open the Jesse Minter era without three injured players and two members of their 2026 draft class. Defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan and wide receiver Devontez Walker were included on Baltimore’s inactive list for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Baltimore’s complete Week 1 inactive list:

  • WR Devontez Walker
  • WR Elijah Sarratt
  • CB Chandler Rivers
  • G Emery Jones
  • QB Joe Fagnano — emergency third quarterback

Madubuike and Buchanan had already been ruled out on the final injury report. Madubuike continues to work his way back from the neck injury that ended his 2025 season, while Buchanan is recovering from a knee injury. Walker was listed as questionable after being listed as a limited participant throughout the practice week because of a groin injury. His absence leaves Baltimore without one of its primary vertical threats and could create additional opportunities for Ja’Kobi Lane and Chris Moore. Moore was elevated from the practice squad Saturday.

Wide receiver Elijah Sarratt and cornerback Chandler Rivers are also inactive. Sarratt was selected in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL draft, while Baltimore used a fifth-round selection on Rivers. Guard Emery Jones, a third-round pick in 2025, is a healthy scratch. The decision leaves the Ravens with fewer available interior offensive linemen behind Week 1 starters Jovaughn Gwyn and rookie Vega Ioane. Quarterback Joe Fagnano received the emergency third-quarterback designation. He can enter the game if Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley are unable to continue because of injury or ejection.
