The Cleveland Browns are preparing hard for the next season, with rookie KC Concepcion eager to prove himself in his first season in the NFL. He was picked in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, coming out of a brilliant college career with NC State Wolfpack and Texas A&M Aggies.

KC Concepcion reveals chemistry with Deshaun Watson

Concepcion recently addressed his developing connection with starting quarterback Deshaun Watson during a media availability. Watson has already been announced as the starting quarterback after a tough offseason and preseason battle against primary backup Shedeur Sanders. As a result, the rookie will be working with the veteran for the next season.

Concepcion said that he has a great relationship and chemistry with Watson. He said, “Our timing is great. I feel like our timing and relationship has grown so much. I can’t wait to finally put it on display for the whole world to see.”

The two of them developed the relationship while participating together in the training camp. The rookie has only played in one preseason game, which was against the Chicago Bears. He had 3 receptions for 27 receiving yards, and also had 14 rushing yards and a touchdown, including a 31-yard punt return. He was not available for the rest of the games due to a minor shoulder injury. Despite his limited action, he has worked together with Watson and the two of them have talked about coverages and route adjustments.

Concepcion had a good 2025 season for Texas, where he played in 13 games and recorded 61 receptions for 919 yards and 9 touchdowns. Ahead of the new season, he is one of the most exciting young talents the league wants to see. The player has also been working on one of his flaws.

KC Concepcion addresses drop problem

Concepcion had great numbers and performances in his college career but had one glaring problem. He had 19 drops in the last two seasons of his college career. He has been working to make sure that it is not repeated in the NFL and also addressed it recently.

He said, “Before camp I was just with my trainer, catching every day, eyes to the tuck, and catching from many different angles. And ever since I got up here, I catch JUGGs fairly often. I just try and catch a football as much as I can.”

KC Concepcion will now prepare for the upcoming season, with the first game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium.
