Arch Manning Had Massive Game for Steve Sarkisian’s Texas Longhorns
Much like last season, Arch Manning came in with a ton of hype. Unlike last season, however, Arch Manning actually had a very good opening game. The star quarterback had a big performance, making 30 completions for 305 yards and scoring four touchdown passes.
He connected with eight different receivers, with his touchdown passes going to Ryan Wingo, Cam Coleman, and Hollywood Smothers. It was with Coleman that he led the Longhorns to their fastest scoring drive to start a season since 2022, hitting the receiver with a touchdown pass with just 1:49 on the clock. It was also Coleman’s first touchdown in a Longhorns jersey.
Cam Coleman had a big Texas debut, scoring two touchdowns after three receptions for 70 yards. Meanwhile, Ryan Wingo was also big, getting seven receptions for 121 yards and scoring one touchdown. The Longhorns had a very good running game as well, with Raleek Brown adding two rushing touchdowns.
