The San Francisco 49ers have been in Australia for a full week ahead of their September 10 clash against the Los Angeles Rams.
This is a big moment for the NFL, as it will be the first-ever regular season clash played ‘Down Under’. As the league continues its efforts to become bigger globally, the stars are getting to travel the world.
Niners superstar Christian McCaffrey is already experiencing the benefits. Talking to the press about the team’s time in Australia, he shared something surprising.

Australia is known majorly for its incredible natural beauty and the hospitable Aussie culture. However, this is likely a disservice to other areas in which the country flourishes.
Asked about his impressions from the team’s visit so far, McCaffrey spoke about the coffee scene and shared his praise for the food as well.
“Oh it’s been great, yeah,” McCaffrey said. “The coffee’s unbelievable. I don’t know why nobody talked about that as much as they should have beforehand.
“Coffee’s been great, food’s awesome. The people are really nice. I mean, yeah, it’s been a really cool experience for all of us.”
The Niners seem like they have enjoyed their time in the country. Maybe arriving early will allow them to gain an advantage over the Los Angeles Rams when they play them this Thursday.
